Welcome to our website. Brushing Violets is a New Jersey Chapter of the Society of Decorative Painters. Our goal is to stimulate interest and appreciation for decorative art through friendship and learning opportunities. We offer classes and seminars with both local and national teachers. Members also participate in community service projects. We welcome all levels of painters to come to our meetings and join us.
Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month at the Presbyterian Church in Clinton, New Jersey. Business meetings followed by a short painting program are held March through November. Social time starts at 10 am followed by the Business Meeting at 10:30 and then the Painting Program. Occasionally this format may change, so always check the calendar tab for the most recent information.
June meetings are usually reserved for a luncheon and December is our Holiday Luncheon/Auction.
We do not meet in January and February.
In order to be a member of Brushing Violets you must be a member in good standing of the Society of Decorative Painters. Brushing Violets dues are $20.00 annually.
